Albemarle County 5th District Democratic Caucus

Fifth district Democrats in Albemarle County will choose their candidate to run for the US House of Representatives at a Caucus on Monday, April 16 at Monticello High School. Doors open at 5:30 and you must be in line by 6:30 to be admitted; the Caucus will begin when all are inside. No photo ID is required. The delegates selected at this and other 5th district caucuses around the state will nominate the Democratic candidate to challenge Republican Tom Garrett at a Convention in Farmville, VA on May 5. Since Tim Kaine is unopposed for the US Senate nomination, 5th district Democrats will not need to attend the June 12 primary. Watch one of the Candidate Forums/Debates here:
