Mark April 25 on your calendars. That is the day we plan to gather for the 30th anniversary celebration of the Green Olive Tree.
All our community friends and customers, as well as past and present volunteers, are invited to the Crozet United Methodist Church on Crozet Avenue between 1 and 4 p.m. on that Saturday. We will enjoy the present time and the presence of friends. We will share past stories and we will talk of hopes for the future.
At present we are attempting to contact former volunteers and patrons. So please help us spread this message. We are hoping for a large area turnout and all are invited. If you plan to be with us, please call us (823-4523) or stop by the shop on Three Notch’d Road to “sign on.” This will give us an idea of head count for refreshments.
Thanks to all: donors, customers, and volunteers, as 2008 was our best year ever. Out proceeds have enabled us to be a help to a number of organizations and charitable causes. We pray to be good stewards and appreciate the Crozet community’s input.
Thirty years is a good chunk of time. Two of the original “founding mothers,” June Andrews and Nancy Virginia Bain, are still guiding the craft as we sail into new waters.
This is our March schedule: There will be two weeks of $4.00 bag sales. This will begin the week of March 9 and continue through March 21.
We will close for the week of March 23. This will allow us to bag up the remaining clothes for missions, clean, and restock for the seasonal change of clothes.
We will reopen on March 30. Come shop for Spring fashions. Easter is fast approaching.
