New Crozet Community Advisory Council members David Mellen, of Smallwood Farm north of Crozet, Meg Holden, who lives near Brownsville Elementary School, and Paul Clark, president of the Old Trail Homeowners Association, joined the CCAC’s March 19 meeting although their appointments were not official until April 1. They replaced David Wayland, Mac Lafferty and Beverley Ergenbright, who were not eligible for renewed terms. There were 12 applications for the vacancies. CCAC members are appointed by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors to advise the board on issues related to growth in Crozet. The CCAC’s present task is the mandated update of the Crozet Master Plan in 2009. It meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at The Meadows community room and the public is encouraged to attend.
