“An elderly gentleman backing up misjudged the curb and went over it,” said Crozet fireman Glenn Fink, in an interview for WCHV radio and Channel 29 Monday, July 6. Both wheels on the driver’s side went over the retaining wall along Three Notch’d Road.

“He’s not injured. He’s upset,” said Fink. No other damage was done except to his car, a silver mini-van with a handicap permit hanging from the mirror. It happened at 1:30 p.m. according to Fink’s cell phone data.

  1. It looks like he was both fortunate and unfortunate at the same time. I’m very glad that neither he nor anyone else was injured. I’d like to say I’ve never gotten myself into a mess like that, but I’d be fibbing.
