Crozet Optometrist Dr. Shannon Franklin was elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the Virginia Optometric Association (VOA) at its 107th annual convention in Williamsburg in July.
Dr. Franklin previously served three years on the VOA board of trustees and four years as the president of its local chapter.
In 2002, she won the Vanguard Award recognizing the best and most outstanding VOA active member practicing less than eight years. She is currently the Virginia coordinator for the InfantSEE program.
Dr. Franklin opened Crozet Eye Care in the Clover Lawn shops on Rt. 250 in 2006.
