The JV Volleyball team is off to another great start. After winning the Jefferson District in 2008 en route to a 20-0 perfect season, they opened 2009 with eleven straight wins and a 6-0 mark in the district. For those unfamiliar with volleyball, the JV plays the best 2 out of 3 games each match. In eleven matches they haven’t lost a single game yet this year.

The JV Lady Warriors are led by sophomores Alex Gay and Caroline Smith with significant contributions from freshmen Maggie Kooken, Marina Clark, and Ivy Morgan.

At the recent Warrior Invitational, Clark, Kooken and Smith were named to the All-Tournament team. The Warriors won all three matches they played, including a win against AAA Loudoun County in quick fashion. As the Warriors continue their quest for yet another undefeated season, they will count on Gay (best team serving percentage), Smith (best hitting percentage), top passer Morgan, and setter Clark (along with freshman running mate Kooken, middle blocker) to lead the way. Pass, set, kill, win! Good luck, Warriors, and keep up the good work.
