Yummy

I made Marlene Condon’s “Pumpkin” Soup, aka Butternut Squash Soup, recipe [see Crozet Gazette, November 2009] and it was delicious. It was so sweet I checked the canned tomatoes for added sugar, but there was none—it must have been the sweetness of the squash and tomatoes themselves. I used fresh herbs and you could even use fresh tomatoes if you didn’t mind the extra work. Thanks to our own local chef for sharing her bounty!
