Brownsville Elementary fifth grader Bennett Hull was selected as a 2009 – 2010 Pop Warner All-American Scholar for outstanding academic achievement.

Pop Warner is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the U.S. and the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic achievement to participate.

Every year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner athletes compete for Academic All-American status. Applicants must have a minimum 96 percent grade point average to qualify. Pop Warner also considers the extra-curricular activity and community involvement of qualified applicants as selection factors. In receiving this honor, Hull ranks among the top two percent of the 400,000 children who participate in Pop Warner programs nationwide.

Hull and his family will attend the 50th annual Pop Warner Scholastic Banquet honoring All-American Scholars in Philadelphia later this month.
