Cash for Candy Halloween Candy Buy Back Event Nov. 1
The day after Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Drs. Rice and Associates in Crozet and Nellysford Virginia and receive $1.00 per pound for their unopened sweets. Drs. Rice will also be giving away electric glowing toothbrushes in exchange for the cavity-provoking candy.
Candy will be collected at both locations of Drs. Rice and Rice on Monday, November 1 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The candy must be unopened. It will then be shipped to our troops in the Middle East via “Operation Gratitude,” showing our soldiers they are in our thoughts and that we appreciate the sacrifices they are making for us. Last year over 60 tons of candy were sent overseas. Cards will be available for people to write personal notes of appreciation directly to individuals and will be included with the candy shipment. According to “Operation Gratitude,” the most cherished items soldiers receive are the personal letters of appreciation from Americans back home.
