RVCC to Host Rockfish Nights November 20

Paul Reisler and Terri Allard will provide the entertainment for Rockfish Nights, the annual major fundraiser for the Rockfish Valley Community Center in Nellysford Nov. 20. The evening includes an auction and dinner for $40 (in advance only).

Reisler combines folk roots, world music eclecticism, classical precision and New Age mysticism with the vitality of contemporary music. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Kid Pan Alley children’s songwriting project. Allard is an award winning singer-songwriter known for her intimate performances and personal writing style. The concert will feature songs and instrumentals composed by Reisler as well as some Kid Pan Alley songs and a few Allard originals.

The doors will open for the event at 5 p.m. for the auction, cash bar and appetizers. Claudia Gibson Catering will provide the meal at 7:15 p.m. and the concert will start at 8:15. There will be a cash bar featuring Nelson wine and beer. Tickets are on sale at the RVCC office and the Treasure Chest. Tickets may also be purchased online and will be held for pick up at the door. RVCC Board members also have tickets for sale.

RVCC is located in a 1938 school building and is a non-profit, community-based, membership organization that houses and facilitates recreational, educational and cultural programs. RVCC is also home to The Hamner Theater and several other on-site resident instructors offering a variety of classes and/or courses including yoga, sculpture, massage, driving school, jewelry, tae kwon do, and the Food Buying club, offering healthy food items and eco-friendly products delivered monthly.
