2011 Calendar Photo Contest Winners

A slideshow of all the finalists in the 2011 Crozet Gazette Calendar Photo Contest, including the 13 winners and 14 runner-ups.

Thank you to all who submitted photographs to the 2011 Calendar Photo Contest. This year the Gazette received over 350 entries. Of the 12 photographs selected by the Gazette for the calendar, June (Roseland Polo by Bill Sublette), February (Mint Springs by Dominique Attaway), and July (Old Trail Dock by Andrew Wymer) were awarded first, second and third place by guest judge and local photographer Angie Brement, the 2010 contest winner.

The other winners were: Peter Welch (January), Tracy Carmichael (March), Earl Dudley (April), Sally Hanchett (May, and the calendar cover), Tom Pallante (August), Nathan Williamson (September, and the winner of the “Category of Its Own Award”), Tracey Crehan Gerlach (October), Robert Gutkowski (November), and Vince Petrell (December).

Photographs from Tyler Atwood, Mike Beitzel, Clover Carroll, Fred Drake, Ron Gaykema, Stacey Jacobs, Cindy LaRue, Connie Mangum, Candie Maupin, Eric Meier, Jane Morley, Ina Neutelings, Becky Ruscher, and Margaret Thacker were runners-up for the 12 month pages and will be published in the first page of the calendar.
