Crozet History Trivia Question

The Field School held its second annual Crozet Spirit Walk Oct. 22 and 23 with actors—local citizens and Field School students—portraying characters from the history of the area for spirit walkers as they moved along the streets of Crozet. For this year’s walk, The Field School recreated this photograph of the Crozet Pharmacy (which once sat between Crozet Hardware and New China take-out in what’s now the alley) and postmaster Ellis Harris, Wiley Hughes, John Moomaw, W.F. Carter, and Russell Bargamin. The actors are McKellar Cox, Zac Colomes, Deedee, Todd Barnett, Amy Cox, Tupelo Honey, and Trish Stevenson.

Email the Crozet Gazette at photos[@]crozetgazette.com by November 30 and tell us the year in which the original photo was taken. Answers within five years of the published date of the original will be accepted. A winner will be randomly selected from the correct answers and will receive a free 2011 Crozet Gazette calendar.

  1. This is a great original photo, a grand re-creation of the photographic event by the Field School, and a fun contest idea by The Gazette.

Many thanks to Mac Sandridge for preserving and sharing such a valuable link to our town’s past!

There was once a popular song that began: “In 1814 they took a little trip…” — Could THAT be the answer +/- 5?
