The Crozet Farmers’ Market will open for business Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. until noon and every Saturday through mid-October. The market is located in the parking lot of the Crozet United Methodist Church. The Crozet market is a community-based “producers’ market” which provides vendors the opportunity to sell their hand-crafted goods, fresh homemade bakery products and locally grown produce and flowers.
The market was very successful last year with more than 20 vendors participating throughout the year. Efforts to bring more produce farmers to the market are continuing as consumer interest increases in locally grown, fresh produce and goods and food prices rise.
Allison Montgomery, a Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, will be available on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, May through September, to answer your gardening questions and plan children’s activities.
