Crozet Arts hosted their fifth Twinkle Project the week of June 27 – July 1. The cast of 19 students ages 6 – 11 presented two studio performances of The Unicorn Tapestries on Friday. This second Twinkle Project of the summer was directed by Sharon D. Tolczyk, Boomie Pedersen, and Dr. Beth Cantrell.
The Twinkle Project is an interdisciplinary collaborative production of dance, theater, music, and art, using selections from Mozart’s 12 variations on, “Ah vous dirai-je, Maman” (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star) and verse from well-known poets and writers. Participants make costumes and set pieces.
The Twinkle Project 2016 was supported by a grant from the Bama Works fund of Dave Matthews Band at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF).
