You’d never guess 10-year-old Hannah and Samuel Miller,  Crozet twins at Brownsville Elementary, were a force to be reckoned with.  They don’t brag,  but they recently won first place at  the Crescendo International Music Competition at Carnegie Hall.

The twins first performed in a different international violin competition at Carnegie when they were eight years old. Hannah won third place; Samual received an honorable mention.

Suzuki violin students with Nonie Reasor of Buena Vista, Hannah and Sam have played violin since they were three years old. They practice violin 75 to 90 minutes per day, six days a week.  With two additional siblings Abby and Izzy, also violinists, music abounds in the Miller household.  When the twins aren’t practicing violin or piano (yes, piano, too!), Sam can be found shooting hoops while Hannah prefers swimming.

Hannah and Sam also just led their Brownsville Elementary School Destination Imagination Team, DI Donuts, to win second place in the DI States Competition and were invited to globals.
