He was in his true element out on a long trail ride & made many friends near & far who shared his passion for riding. Charlie had a keen eye for a bargain and loved flea markets and sales. He was a collector of many treasures. In his retirement, he & Lorita enjoyed annual trips through Pennsylvania visiting Amish farms and taking in the beautiful country. He loved gardening and always shared his crops with all the neighbors.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont and caregivers Lydia Woodson and Cathy Rosenberry for their love and support through Charlie’s illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church c/o The Cemetery Fund 2523 Craigs Store Road Batesville, VA, 22924. A graveside service was held November 20, at Holy Cross.
