A team of North Branch School middle school students brought home first place in the regional KidWind Challenge held at James Madison University on March 9. The students collaborated to design and build a wind turbine that was put to the test in a wind tunnel during the competition. Their turbine generated an impressive 7.5 volts of energy. In April the team will travel to Petersburg for the statewide competition.
