Deborah “Debbie” R. Snead, 72, of Crozet, VA passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, at Brookdale Senior Living in Staunton. She was born on February 1, 1950, in Rockingham, VA, to the late Samuel and Louise Randall. She was raised by her loving grandparents, the late Thomas and Helen Claig of Port Republic.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Robert “Butch” Snead, of 52 years: one daughter, Jennifer Sanger and her husband Zach: and one son, Jeff Snead and his wife Dana. In addition, she had four grandchildren, Emma Sanger, Kelvin Sanger, Emily Snead, and Finley Snead.
Debbie worked her entire life in the insurance business and retired from State Farm in 2012. She was also a member of the Crozet Firemen’s Wives and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time at the Outer Banks walking the beach searching for shells.
As per Debbie’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Crozet Vol. Fire Dept.
